This is the last level of the game. Bowser's Castle, since the previous versions, has been expanded upon (those first two rooms were definetly not there before), and is now, arguably, one of the most difficult and dangerous levels in the game. Death is lurking around every corner, and one mistake will definetly cost you. You'll also have to, once again, switch characters periodically, especially in the third chamber. The fifth chamber now has slow rising lava; take your time navigating this room, but don't take too much time or you'll get fried.

The final battle has definetly been changed; now it consists of three phases, taking place in three separate rooms:

First Phase: This goes similar to the fight at the end of World 7, only this time, you have to defeat him yourself with either electro power or with the Hammer Suit. Speaking of Hammer Suit, if you can get to this point with one, you can make quick work of this phase.

Second Phase: Bowser is now in the clown car, and you have to fight him as Peach. Lava columns will arise every so often, but you are notified beforehand where they will appear, giving you time to move out of the way. Lob heart bombs (if you're Hammer Peach), or use the bob-ombs to damage him until he gives up. You also have to watch out for the giant metal spiny eggs that show up every so often, these can be taken care of with one shot of Electro power.

Third Phase: Thankfully, you get a checkpoint before this final battle, because this is, by far, the hardest phase. Not only must you deal with a "mechanized" Bowser, but now his Living Weapon will attack you, as well. It's basically a giant Rinka, but the terrain makes it pretty tough to deal with. Like in earlier versions, you have to constantly switch between Peach and Mario, but this time, you need to utilize the pipe cannons to get to the top of the room where the bombs are. Start with Peach. You get access to Tanooki Suits here, which is nice because as you enter a pipe cannon, you can turn into stone as you blast out, avoiding any obstacles that are in the way. However, they will only spawn on certain corners of the room, depending on who you're playing as at the time (Peach's spawn on the left corner, while Mario's on the right corner). Listen out for the sound cues - you have 3 seconds before the terrain changes; get to the bottom of the room and switch characters at this point. You can't damage Bowser until you kill the Living Weapon first. It's easier to hit the Living Weapon as Mario than as Peach due to the way they hold objects. Once the weapon is destroyed, you have to then lob, I believe it's 9 bombs, at Bowser to finally defeat him and beat the game.
