Satisfactory Update 4 - Quickwire - Rotors - Stators - Motors - Let's Play (Streams) - EP6
4Time to tear down the starter base again? Yep. Time for that. I needed to redo the layout of the starter base, and also to make sure that I had all the basic products being produced as I was running out of some of them, which would not be ideal.
I set up some Quickwire production out at the Pure Caterium Node that I harvested early on in the series for the Caterium I needed to unlock the Blade Runners, and left the Quickwire in a Storage Container out there for now. Will need to revisit either with some belts, or even with trains or drones later on.
When I finished that, I had to build a belt for Steel Pipes back to the current main base area so I could set up Motor production. Using the alternate Steel Rotor recipe (which isn't the best alt.recipe, but is handy thanks to using the same products as Stators) for Rotors, and of course regular Stators, I set up a small production line of 10 Motors per minute. Also I set up a Hypertube lane between the current main base area and the steel outpost.
Other things I did in the episode that is worth mentioning:
- Upgraded some Miners to Miner Mk. 2, and some belts to Mk. 2/Mk. 3 depending on situational need
- Unlocked the Tier 5 Oil Processing Milestone
- Various MAM Researches

What is Satisfactory about?

Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim. You play as an engineer on an alien planet tasked to complete ‘Project Assembly’ - a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!
Are there multiple procedurally generated planets?
No, there are no procedurally generated planets. Just one beautifully crafted, hand-made, 100% organic, vegan, GMO-free planet.
Actually, it’s not even a whole planet. It’s just a small bit. But it’s still pretty big, 30km2. That means about 5.4x5.4km.
Is there combat in the game?
Yes.
Is Satisfactory multiplayer?
Yes. We officially support 1-4 players, but we are not limiting it at the moment. This might change but if you want to try more than 4 players then go for it. If it crashes it’s you or Simon’s fault. @SBegby on Twitter.
Will there be mod support?
This is something we have seriously considered but are instead focusing on getting the game finished and running smoothly. Mod support may be added in the future.
