Longplay through to megabase (hopefully)

Have not actually played Update 4 so a lot of this is new! I'm probably going to be doing spreadsheets/planning during stream (offscreen) so there's going to be a bit of dead time. Longplay will be unedited; I'm not particularly streaming this to build an audience but I'm mic'd up so feel free to come say hi or ask questions regarding this game or my work in general and I'll answer if I can.

pt41: HDD Hunt 5 - Complete

OH MY GOD WHAT A TEDIOUS PROCESS FINALLY I NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HDDS EVER AGAIN...

...this run

i actually realized belatedly that this area would have been much less painful making an Explorer and then hopping site-to-site without power/hoverpack since it IS the beginner area lol- but then I haven't even researched it and was already halfway into the last lap.

Cleaned up a lot of the old(est) stuff. Good night original run of 8 coal gens, lol.

I think before anything else the next few segments will also clean up ALL the smelter/foundry stuff around the main base, including visuals, so that we never have to worry about THAT again either. It's obviously not going to be close to what we need for the mega-builds down the line but having a sizable stash to feed the nukes and whatever other incidental stuff is good.

I was contemplating on making an exact replica of the copper smelter array for iron, but realized the terrain cropped too close to do the same 'underground' belt runs going out, so we're likely going to do a different elevation for that, albeit the same layout. Hilariously enough I had to take a fair bit of time staring at the raw copper ore feed wondering what the hell I even did. It's a needlessly complex mess of conveyor lifts and splitters.

While the guts of the thing are going to be different/updated/improved on out of necessity, I like the angular, 'chocolate bar' look of the copper array itself so we're duplicating that for the iron smelter array (with a light gray color). The Steel foundry array would be the one that deviates in terms of visual design since it's a longer footprint.
