Welcome to the Savanna Circuit, East Africa’s premier fighting game league. Since its inception, our competition has been the ultimate proving ground for Tekken players across Nairobi and beyond. With free registration and qualifier prize pools starting at Ksh. 10,000, we pride ourselves on delivering thrilling matches, compelling rivalries, and a platform for talent to shine.
From Seasons One to Three (spanning 2018 and 2019), the Savanna Circuit established a clear identity: grassroots qualifiers, intense matchups, and a community-driven spirit that attracts both seasoned competitors and rising contenders. Season Four saw the dominance of local legend Mickey—winner of every Tekken 7 event—brought to an end when he was finally bested by Frost in the Season 4 Qualifier 1 grand final in January 2020. Sadly, the season was upended by the COVID‑19 pandemic, leading to a five-year pause.
Now, that hiatus is over: the Savanna Circuit is back and stronger than ever with Savanna Circuit ’25, exclusively featuring Tekken 8 on the PlayStation 5. Our regular season runs from 26 July to 29 November at Pepino's Pizza in Ruaka, with the top 7 ranked players advancing to the Savanna Cup finals, and one final spot awarded via an open Last Chance Qualifier. All regular season events are official Tekken World Tour Dojo events, offering global ranking and recognition.
