Save and play GameCube games on wii from hard drive or sd card
This is how to save gamecube games to hard drive or sd card and play them on wii.
1 Make sure your wii is homebrew enabled and has nintendon't as one of the programs.
2 visit rom download site (in my instance cdromance) and find the game(s) you want to download and click on it - try other rom sites if you can't find the games you want. Find the download link and let your computer download it. The game will normally save in Downloads.
3 On your computer click on new folder and rename it games. Then copy the game ISO from Downloads to games. Afterwards copy all of this to sd card or hard drive and disconnect it from pc once finished (use eject function for sd card to avoid corrupting it). Apologies for pointing to Zelda instead of Mario Kart in video :/ - Mario Kart was downloaded earlier so I didn't download it again.
4 Boot up your wii and head straight to homebrew channel. Find Nintendon't and click on it.
5 Select where the game(s) have been saved to sd or usb (in my case sd) and the games will load.
6 Select game you want, connect GameCube controller and then load and enjoy your game!!!
