How to save wii games to hard drive and enable it to be read using homebrew
1. Ensure your hard drive is in ntfs or fat32 formats (I prefer ntfs as it will take larger game files)
2. Visit rom sharing site (I like romuniverse for wii games)
3. Download the game(s) you want and save them to a file you and Wii Backup Manager in stage 4 will easily be able to locate them.
4. Use Wii Backup Manager to convert the wii games to wbfs (there are other formats but I personally prefer wbfs) and transfer them to hard drive and make sure they are saved in new folder renamed wbfs.
5. Rename the games from for example MarioKartWii RMCP01 to RMCP01_MarioKartWii. This way the hard drive and usb loader will read the game in a way they understand.
6. Ensure that your homebrew sd card has both d2x cios installer and usb loader gx saved on it.
7. It is vital that your wii is connected to your wifi as you will have to download some content so make sure it is connected before continuing.
8. Go to HBC and select d2x cios installer and select cios v10 beta52 d2x-v10 beta52, cios base 56, slot 249 and cios revision 65535. Then press a twice and let d2x cios download what it needs. When its done press b to exit back to HBC but you will need to return to d2x cios 2 more times.
9. Repeat number 8 with cios v10 beta52 d2x-v10 beta52, cios base 57, slot 250 and cios revision 65535 and then the same with cios v10 beta52 d2x-v10 beta52, cios base 58, slot 251 and cios revision 65535.
10. Select usb loader gx and let it load. You may have to click on settings, hard drive settings and select the format which the games are saved on if your hard drive has split partitions but if it is only one partition then the games should load, if not repeat steps 8 and 9 and see if it solves this. If not you may have to check your downloaded games for any errors on your pc.
11. Select the 5th box along and click on the game box or blank box (whichever is appropriate) and an options box will come up asking if you want to download game box art cover (which you will do) so click on ok and yes to found missing images to let it download what it needs and ok again once its finished.
12. Click on settings and hard drive settings again to check that the hard drive format is still correct before returning to usb loader.
13. Click on whichever top icon you prefer to display your video games.
14. Select any of your downloaded games and start enjoying it!!!
I apologise for some outside noise in the video.
