Pokemon Colosseum is a 2003/2004 Pokemon spinoff developed by Genius Sonority for the Gamecube. A unique take on a Pokemon game, this entry does not feature random encounters, rather purely trainer encounters. The game is made with navigation, models, and battles in 3D and also features doubles battles where both sides have two Pokemon out at once, leading to interesting synergies. The game follows Wes in the Orre region, who steals a "Snag Machine", which can capture Pokemon directly from trainers, in order to capture "Shadow Pokemon".
