Happy Independence Day, everyone! To celebrate the 4th of July I've decided to play war mods based on movies and other military games all month long. What better way to start off by playing one based on one of the most well-known films of all time? Here's Saving Private Ryan, created by Edge Designs back in 1998 when the film released!

30 years ago it was a fun novelty to get to play mods based off of movies. This one on particular had a heavy focus on deathmatch and coop. Unfortunately the days of Duke multiplayer are long gone, so all we're left with is the single player episode. The levels re-create the most memorable movie scenes almost exactly. Certainly nothing wrong with that, but it comes with the unfortunate side effect of making the game very short. But at least we get to preserve a piece of history on my archive channel!

Would you like to play this mod for yourself? You can download it here: https://dukeworld.com/2001-current/unsorted/other/Duke Nukem 3D/Addons/TCs/Saving Private Ryan/

I used Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition and eduke32 to play this fan made game, and StreamlabsOBS to record it. I played on the "Come Get Some" difficulty.
