When Sayori joins the Literature Club for a Christmas Eve party, something's just not right. When an unexpected visitor arrives, she learns more than she wants to and is faced with a dire dilemma. A Christmas Mod that has elements of 'It's a wonderful life' "A Christmas Carol" and DDLC itself, it's a more compelling Christmas tale.

Dear Viewer, (Possible Spoilers Ahead)
In all honesty, I was afraid to make this mod. I do hope you enjoy it. It's dark and compelling and could most certainly offend or trigger anyone. But that was never my intent. After taking a lot of time to think over even making this story, we (My fiancé Brenirka and I) decided a disclaimer at the beginning should be used to help viewers not be floored by the mods content. This mod's content isn't particularly new to DDLC or to DDLC Mods, but it does tackle the content through a way to hopefully help and create new perspective. Meaning that the story shows a serious take on the real issue and different concepts and discussion about it. Which could always offend or make anyone angry in general. Even though this mod is far from my most gory or dark mod in description, it is dark in how real the themes can be to any viewer. I was always wary that it wouldn't work or people wouldn't like it no matter how I wrote it. But I decided to make it in the end because I really enjoyed the story it turned into. It made me think about the topics and ideas discussed and compelled me to make it a reality. This mod was and is not a solution to the problems featured, it could help but not resolve. I just simply made a story meant to compel you and entertain you. I hope it did. I guess I'm really writing all of this here for anyone who is angry or upset or just wants for context to what exactly this mod is. All I really want to do here is entertain, if I do, then I've succeeded, but here I've also dipped my toes into a theme that could hopefully mean a lot to one person. The idea for this mod probably came from the seasonal depression I see many people go through this time of year. I felt that I needed to express my feelings on the issue because it was becoming more and more prevalent in the lives of those I care for online and in real life. This mod doesn't cover everything that I would or could say, but what would be said in the constraints of the story I came up with. You as the viewer, are the ones who keep me mod making, and I do hope you enjoy this mod. And if you don't I apologize and hope you find other content of mine more enjoyable to watch. Originally this mod was going to be about MC, it was still dark but had nothing to do with such a common dark theme. The theme of that original concept was being in a coma. Eventually it morphed into what you see here. I also deliberated on what the ending should be. I didn't want to simply have Brenirk save Sayori like in the 2 Christmas Movies mentioned in the Mod Summary. Mostly I didn't want that because it wasn't true to reality. We don't really get those types of second chances. Except for of course if we survive. Which some people do. So I included that notion in the mod and left the end ambiguous. Sayori could have died or lived by the end. Just as in real life, those same people could live or die. There is of course an answer, on if she survived or not, but for the purposes of this mod, the unknown felt better. Maybe in the future I will write a sequel or something that will reveal if Sayori lived or not. But that would be was down the line. For now, it is anybody's guess. That's about all I can think to say about this mod. I've never done this before and I didn't even plan to. I guess my anxiety over if you would like the mod or not made me write this. Which is odd since so many of my mods have dark material, from abuse in the last Christmas Mod to complete massacres. I guess this topic hits home the most because this mod uses the topic as a theme rather than an event in the mod. We never see or get descriptions of the act because the mod isn't about that. That would be for a theoretical future mod that uses it to further a larger story. Either way, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday Season. Thank you for reading!
