Starting off we have Mr. Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street, the Original Mr. Snuffleupagus from 1971 had Green Eyes and his pupils pointed away from each other like fish eyes, this caused a lot of younger fans to be afraid of him so they redesigned him, but even still many finds find him creepy looking.
Speaking of Creepy Sesame Street Designs, the 1969 Nice Big Bird design was also changed to look much more presentable to younger audiences.
The original Barney from 1988 had a much darker purple shade a sharper jaw and visible nostrils, he went through changes year by year and by 1993 he got a more defined design that was lighter and much more welcoming.
Of course the original Sonic Movie got redesigned after fans showed immense backlash for not liking how humanoid and uncanny he looks. So SEGA and did what rarely happens, they listened to their fans and gave us a much more lore accurate Sonic design.
