SCP 087 B - Descent Into Madness

This is sort of a trailer-ey video, but it's just a conglomeration of all my playthroughs in floor order. Then at the end my sister is playing (4:06 until the end). She has gotten farther on her one try than I have in 7 or so. (Well, I was there helping her, so she was basically my 8th try :p)
Yeah, the video won't capture the true scariness of the game, so you should play the game instead of watching this video if you want scariness!
I feel that I have always felt more scared by the cheap "boos" scares than the most of the games that center around a scary atmosphere. Sure you need a scary environment, but after awhile you need something else a bit more engaging. Also, if the video does a weird jerky motion, that is my hand twitching.
I must admit, after playing this game 3 times through, I was disappointed. The same scares occur in order around 1-2 floors from each other. So when my sister was playing, I told her "next there will be a guy that pops out around floor 18" and there was. I thought I had gotten down the pattern. Then I played again, and the floor 18ish scare occurred on floor 14 and got me pretty good. Still, not too amazing yeah? After playing 6 or so times, random freaky events occurred even before I got to the first "scare". I started noticing how much variability there was just in freaky environment stuff.
What really really made me realize the awesome-ish-ness of this game was one key event. But first, a bit of background: there exist many rooms that have a single fork. You can go left or you can go right. One of the two directions leads to a hole, and the other simply allows you to continue onward. I had encountered many (more than 15 I would say) of these forks before, and I had always taken the left path first, and if it didn't work, then I'd go to the right side and that would work. My sister and girlfriend were watching me play. I decided to go to the right side randomly, and found a hole. I told them to not to be scared, because I simply go to the other path. BOOM! Scary noise; turned around, and it was right there coming for me. Killed me.
