Scrap Mechanic Tutorial - Multiple Input Switches, One Controller
In this Scrap Mechanic Tutorial I demonstrate a way you can have multiple switch inputs to control one controller and baring! This is great for opening a door from different locations. Enjoy the video? Give it a LIKE!
In Scrap Mechanic, we connect a controller to a bearing in order to turn them at various angles. However, we can only connect one input switch to one controller which in turn can connect to a baring...
Additionally, we can not use multiple bearings to control one door directly. Until functionality exists allowing for the connection of multiple input switches to one controller (or one bearing) this Scrap Mechanic Tutorial shows how you can use multiple input switches to control the rotation of an arm that covers or uncovers a sensor. That sensor alone then controls a controller which itself manages the opening and closing of a door.
In other words, we have a sensor that any input switch can change the state of (on to off etc). Think of it as multiple light switches (inputs) handling the on/off state of one light bulb (controller).
In Scrap Mechanic this multiple switch input functionality is key to unlocking some truly amazing creations. I do believe they will bring it to the game though in some form, but in the meantime I hope this multiple switch, one baring tutorial helps!
Thanks for watching this Scrap Mechanic tutorial on how to connect multiple input switches to one controller (or bearing)!
