Scrap Pile: Dwarf Fortress & The Circus, Part 2
6Here's a scrapped let's play of Dwarf Fortress... Part 2!
The plan was to have a series where we try and get to "The Circus", a level underneath where you usually can't dig below. It's basically the only spoiler in Dwarf Fortress, and I wanted to go into it not knowing what was there, just a general idea of what I was looking for.
The problem was a lot of places don't actually tell you what to look for or do without spoiling things. At a certain point, I was just struggling to get where I wanted to go. Digging from all weird angles, neglecting the rest of my fort, and generally... not having fun! At a certain point I looked up what I was actually looking for, how to get to The Circus, and got myself completely spoiled. With the gimmick now spoiled, and what felt like hours of recording and planning wasted, all my excitement for this series was drained in a moment.
Instead of scrapping almost 9 hours of recording, I decided to do some minor edits and release my recordings here! I don't have a ton of things that get scrapped like this, but this at least provides an outlet for "what could have been", and a way for me to not feel like I wasted my time. Enjoy!
