Scud Race - Multiplayer Waiting Your Entry Music
34Someone asked me in the comments of my recent Scud Race Dreamcast Tech demo running on PC video (watch it here: https://youtu.be/wriw0CyHUwg) how I obtained the multiplayer 'Waiting your entry music' from Scud Race as it's not in the game's test menu. This is how:
You need one of the older Supermodel network builds to get it to play looped. You basically start a 2 player link-up game, then once the game starts, you credit up one machine, causing the 'Waiting your entry screen' to appear on the other. You then close down the machine you just credited up and this breaks the network and freezes the timer in place on the other machine, but keeps the animation and music going (if you do something similar during a 2P game of Daytona USA 2, half of the CPU cars will suddenly stop moving and once you go through the checkpoint on the last lap, the game just keeps going on forever). This doesn't work on the new builds of Supermodel, because they're now improved and if the network breaks, it doesn't stop the other game working.
I can't take credit for this discovery, someone else uploaded a video of the music and I asked them how ages back. I can't recall the name of the channel that explained it, so soz anonymous benefactor!
