Is apparently such a special case that game developers will completely abandon these people.

You see, I was just trying to grab some footage from the Devil May Cry collection for an upcoming video since I haven't done one for quite a while. Now, the thing is, I don't have HD capture capabilities due to budget constraints (I have no budget), so I capture in SD using an inexpensive S-VIDEO device (and a great deinterlacer).

So I stick in the Devil May Cry HD Collection (or DmCHDC: Devil May Cry HD Collection according to new naming standards) in the console. First thing, sound is completely out of sync in the cutscenes. I mean, completely and utterly out of sync -- because the video proportion runs too slow. Almost as if we're seeing the exact frames of 30fps content simply played back at 25fps. I figured it would only apply to cutscenes -- like with Killzone 3, but the whole game takes a speed hit, possibly for the same reason.

This isn't the first game I've seen it with, but usually, it is only cutscenes. Of course, SD versions can also suffer the more obvious problems of text being far too small.

I wonder what the statistics would look like for PAL territories playing HD console games in SD.

Anyway, here is how every cutscene is ruined.
