무덤 지역을 탐색하며 자신의 무덤을 찾아나서는 독특한 턴제 로그라이크 게임입니다. 매 지역마다 다섯 개의 무덤을 골라 파헤치며, 회복 아이템, 무기, 쓰레기, 전투 등 다양한 이벤트가 랜덤하게 펼쳐집니다. 각각의 선택은 순차적으로 처리되며, 전투는 항상 적의 선공으로 시작되어 생존을 위협하죠.
두 지역마다 선택할 수 있는 비석은 플레이에 직접적인 영향을 주는 패시브 효과를 제공합니다. 전투 능력 강화, 이벤트 조건 변화, 운용 전략 변화 등 다양한 방식으로 모험의 흐름을 바꿔주며 최대 15개까지 누적 가능합니다. 플레이어는 매 지역의 선택을 통해 생존과 성장을 동시에 고민하게 됩니다.
게임의 궁극적인 목표는 신발을 10개 수집하여 자신의 무덤을 찾아내는 것입니다. 하지만 시간은 제한되어 있으며, 총 32개의 무덤 지역을 지나는 동안 신발을 모두 모으지 못하면 아침이 밝으며 강렬한 햇빛에 의해 플레이어는 소멸하고 게임은 종료됩니다. 매 지역마다 선택의 무게가 더해지고, 운과 판단력 모두가 시험대에 오르게 되죠.
6번 클리어에 성공하면 무덤 건물이 완성되고, 이후에는 더욱 강력한 적들과 마주하는 지하 모험이 열립니다. 지하에서는 비석 효과를 더 이상 얻을 수 없지만, 시작 효과를 3종 모두 장착할 수 있고, 그만큼 조건도 까다로워집니다. 제한된 구조 속에서도 한 수 앞을 내다보는 전략적 선택이 요구됩니다.
랜턴을 통해 탐색을 조절하고, 무덤에서 등장하는 아이템과 적을 예상하며 최적의 선택을 찾아내는 재미가 인상적입니다. 단, 후반으로 갈수록 신발 등장과 적의 조합 등 운적 요소가 늘어나면서 약간의 억울함도 감수해야 합니다. 하지만, 반복 속에서도 매 회차 새로운 선택이 주는 몰입감은 꽤 짜릿합니다.

Searching For Rest is a turn-based roguelike game where you dig through mysterious graveyards in search of your own final resting place. In each region, you choose five graves to unearth, uncovering random events—bones for healing, weapons for attack boosts, trash, or monsters waiting to strike first.
Every two regions, you'll select from three gravestones that offer passive perks, shifting the tide of your journey. These relics may enhance combat, influence event outcomes, or alter gameplay mechanics in surprising ways. With up to 15 relics stacked, each run becomes a strategic blend of survival and optimization.
The goal is to collect 10 shoes to unlock your grave. However, time is limited: if you fail to find all the shoes within 32 graveyard regions, the sun rises, and you vanish into dust under its harsh light. This looming deadline creates a constant tension, forcing players to weigh every decision with care.
Succeed six times and you’ll complete your grave monument—unlocking a more intense underground mode. In this phase, you gain access to all three starting perks, but can no longer gain new relics. Stronger enemies await, and every mistake hits harder.
The gameplay is a mix of calculated planning and risk management. Use lanterns to scout, anticipate grave contents, and survive as long as possible. As the days progress, the randomness intensifies—missed shoes, unlucky monster placements, or deadly item draws can abruptly end a run. Still, each attempt feels fresh, and the tension builds beautifully as you near the final stretch.
