INTRODUCTION:

Thank you for starting watching my longplay of Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis!~ This one was sure hard to record, because the game is incredibly unstable while running on Windows 10. But after a lot of crashes, I finally was able to finish it. I hope you’ll like it. Of course, the term “longplay” means that I’ll try to show you as many things as possible, so, even though I’ll do things in the right order and it makes this videos very useful as a walkthrough, not all of my actions are important to finish the game. And since this game is big (even bigger than the first one), some chapters may be pretty long. Just keep all this in mind.

TECHNICAL NOTES:

Longplay was recorded in FullHD (1920x1080), in 30FPS. Original Secret Files didn’t allow you to change resolution, but in Secret Files 2 it’s possible (not through the game options though, check the game folder for a config program). So, it’ll be nice to watch on FullHD TVs and monitors this time. The only problem - due to some technical problems, the game can’t be finished in widescreen resolution. There’s a one certain part (part 14 in my longplay), in which you should switch to 4:3. So, there’ll be the black borders for the two minutes. Bear with me, it can’t be helped, that’s just how the game is. Also, in some other parts key items / places are barely visible in widescreen resolutions, but since you can still interact with them, it’s not a big problem.

HINTS INFO:

I won’t use any hints. Like in a first game, there are a two kinds of them. First kind will show you the active places / items on screen. So, if you don’t like so-called “pixel hunting”, just press a spacebar. Second kind is a solutions for puzzles that can be accessed through the diary when you interact with the puzzle (red “?” marks in the upper left corner of the screen indicate that you can use that feature). I won’t use the first one because it’ll make things looks ugly and I memorized everything anyway (you can also call this playthrough a personal challenge), while the second one will make video playthrough pointless, so, you won’t see it here too. I’ll show you all story entries in diary though, so, you won’t miss anything.

STORY INFO:

Short prologue, in which we will learn about our enemies in the game and about the destiny of the two people from the Christ’s College. While playing as bishop, we should try to hide the manuscript from the bad guys and escape. Learn about the results of this desperate fight from the video!

GAMEPLAY INFO:

This part is more about cutscenes than gameplay. There are only the few things to do, but, oh well, that’s the prologue for you. The only thing you should know is that to hide the manuscript in the book you should read the papers on table first. Everything else is pretty much straightforward.
