Secret of Mana - Landing zones explanation
Photosensitivity warning: The game uses a strobe effect when landing on the Mana Fortress early! Use caution around 11:42 to 11:49 and 12:17 to 12:23.
I got curious about how the game decides where you end up when you land Flammie, and this demonstrates some of the more interesting results. The later parts of the video use a modified copy of the game that allows landing on virtually any tile, so we can see where a number of landing zones that would normally be unusable go.

I've posted charts of all the landing zones on my website as part of an update that occurred after initially posting this video. Link: http://kwhazit.infinityfreeapp.com/trans/sd2/landing.html
The map comparison screenshots seen towards the end of the video were taken in Mop's Secret of Mana Editor, which I also used to check landing zone data ahead of time. Though still incomplete and apparently not currently in active development, the editor remains available at: https://somedit.blogspot.com/
