While Aladdin obtained the lamp, Abu helped himself to one of the forbidden treasures inside the Cave of Wonder, starting a literal melt-down to which Aladdin must escape in level 6, The Escape. This is where the difficulty of the game shoots right up, as Aladdin must navigate tricky jumps, one-hit kill boulders, and a multitude of falling rocks and lave splashes that can disrupt his jumps and send him into the lava. While this level is challenging, it is certainly beatable, and by this point, players should be familiar enough with Aladdin's jumping abilities to be able to judge when and where to jump after a few tries.

Level 7, Rug Ride, is in essence, is the second half of The Escape. Since the two are so short in comparisson to other levels, I included them together. Rug Ride features Aladdin racing a giant wave of lava at break-neck speeds as he makes his exit from the Cave of Wonders. To avoid death, Genie's fingers will point where the next, though generally it's safer to stick to the bottom, as the "?" symbols tend to have rocks at the top. This level is a fairly good 1-up farming stage to make up for the deaths of the previous, with several scattered about the area, and after a certain point, you can clear the stage even by failing.
