Sega's Failed Experiment? | Sonic Heroes Retrospective
Sonic Heroes was the first mainline Sonic game that I completely skipped on its initial release. I was 15 at the time and thought I had grown out of "kiddy platformers". That makes it the first of the hedgehog's games that I don't really have any rose-tinted nostalgia for.
Thanks to people like J's Reviews, I know an entire generation of kids grew up adoring Heroes, so this grumpy old man has doubled back on himself to see what he missed out on.
Spoiler alert: I saw a lot of room for improvement. If you want more details than that, well, you're going to have to watch the video.
Special thanks to Nick, aka the @GameApologist for voicing Takashi Iizuka. Go and check out his channel if you haven't already: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUweLR_ygcqbcxTJGLGhW2A
