Selecting a Camera for Filmmaking with Jeff Unay | Full Sail University
In this video, filmmaker Jeff Unay shares his feelings about selecting the right camera for the film you’re trying to make. For his film, he wanted to make non-fiction feel cinematic, so he rejected the idea of working with lower-quality video cameras (not uncommon in documentary filmmaking), in favor of more expensive Red cameras (http://www.red.com/). Depending on your budget, that may or may not be an option, but in the end, Jeff encourages filmmakers to figure out what story they want to tell and choose a camera that makes it possible.
