We're back to playing as Masamune again. He's one of 5 characters that have a Gaiden Story. These are short 3 stage story modes that are mostly unique. I've already talked about Masamune's moveset so there's not much to add to that.

Masamune's first stage is...the same as Kojuro's second stage. Yeah, not much to talk about in that case. We've done it before, and recently.

2nd stage is unique to him. Yukimura acts as a bodyguard and follows Masamune as we head to the two enemy commanders, Ranmaru and Mitsuhide. As we progress, Mitsuhide sends a ton of kamikaze troops behind us to close in. After we either progress far enough or defeat enough of them, Ranmaru will get fed up with his methods and turn on him. This will cause all of their troops to begin fighting each other and become a 3 way battle. You'll notice Mitsuhide's troops are his usual unique ones and Ranmaru has more normal troop types, like archers. We fight them in a 3-way once we reach their camp. We've got to defeat both to win.

3rd stage is a slightly unique version of Honnoji. It's basically Oichi's version, except Yukimura is fighting Nobunaga all the while as we approach. And performing horribly, Yukimura is at half HP once we get to him and Nobunaga doesn't even have a scratch. Once we reach him, we get a hype moment involving having the opening theme to play and both Masamune and Yukimura fight Nobunaga. Which is a fun team up no matter how many times I see it.
