Nagamasa is the last person to get a full story mode in SB2H. Yes, only 3 characters got proper stories. 5 other characters got Gaiden Stories, which are only 3 stages long. But I feel the quality of these makes up for the lack of quantity.

Anyways, Nagamasa has a pretty solid moveset. He fights with a sword and shield and has A LOT of animations made in the style of Power Rangers/Super Sentai shout outs. It's really fun to watch. His S-string is fast and effective and his Basara is also good. I love the turning away from the explosion thing he does, which is his most obvious reference. His specials include a shield toss that can Prime enemies, 1-3 hit combo that is his bread and butter, but you only realize that when it's leveled and has at least 2 hits. When it's just a one hit strike it kills his combo with a pose and is really awkward to use. He has another Priming skill where he raises his sword into the air, but this was awkward to use so I avoided it. One of the last skills I unlocked was a rush forward with the shield, which was great for comboing, so I used that one a lot.

Also, Nagamasa's air Triangle attack is actually a grab. I didn't even notice that until the last stage, but the dive kick will grind an enemy into the ground if it makes direct contact with them. It's very satisfying and he probably has the best air Triangle attack in the game as far as damage goes. Appropriate since it's such a Power Rangers move.

Nagamasa's first stage is a new Anegawa battle against Yoshimoto. This whole battle is a reference to Power Rangers and I love it, right down to Yoshimoto's soldiers acting like Power Ranger mooks in the cutscene to Nagamasa DROPPING DOWN FROM THE SKY when the stage starts. The stage itself is pretty easy, just go around defending your points and then defeat Yoshimoto at the end. You get a horse to help go around and keep your allies alive.

2nd stage is Xavi's stage. Nothing special here, taken straight from SB2.

3rd stage is the Anegawa battle that Oichi had, except this time Nagamasa isn't killed during it.

4th stage is a new battle against Matsunaga's goon trio that are attacking peasants. Nagamasa comes to the rescue and uses this battle to get his act together. This stage does something really cool that I wish more battles did, where it plays your own characters theme as you're playing them. We get to hear Nagamasa's awesome theme as we go around protecting the peasants in an easier version of the storehouse protection battle. Managed to protect all the houses pretty easily this time when they didn't give me a shit character to play as.

5th stage is Azuchi Castle, a battle returning from SB2 with really nothing new added to it. However it is incredibly appropriate for Nagamasa and I love it. When we reach Nobunaga, Nagamasa powers up his sword and you basically just get to wail on him for the entirety of his first health bar. After it's depleted, the buff is gone and you have to fight him legit. The cutscene where Nobunaga falls off the castle is pretty amusing since it's such a Power Rangers way for him to go out. This whole story is just one big homage to Power Rangers and it's great.

And for once, everything works out for Nagamasa. That is friggin' rare to happen in just about any game featuring a Nagamasa.
