This is Sengoku Basara X (Cross), an ill-fated 2D fighting game by Arc System Works, that was published by Capcom. It's based on Capcom's crazy crowd-control series, Sengoku Basara, which, at least in the first game, follows a whole host of Japanese warlords out to defeat the "Devil King," Nobunaga Oda. It was released in a matter of months after SB2 and thus contains characters from that game.

SBX was initially released in arcades in April 2008, followed by a PS2 release in June of the same year. The PS2 version adds Katakura Kojuro and Takenaka Hanbei as playable characters. SBX had a very short stint of being played in Japanese arcades due to numerous glitches and exploits present in the game, including infinite combos that carried both combatants off screen, combos into Basara KOs (instant death attacks), and more.

Because of Devil Kings' (localization of Sengoku Basara 1) low sales, SBX and SB2, among others, were not released outside of Japan. It took Capcom until 2010 with the release of Basara 3 to give the series another shot in the West.

This playthrough was done on real hardware, using a real copy of the game :D Enjoy, though I mostly forgot how to play the game.
