AI Dungeon 2 is a text adventure game that uses the GPT-2 text prediction mode created by OpenAI to create infinite open-ended story lines.

Each adventure in AI Dungeon 2 resets the player back to a neutral state. Therefore, certain topics should not persist between play sessions.

During our stream, the AI began mentioning a person named Chris Sawyer while unprovoked and a game named "Flashman".

We did not take this seriously at first, however... the results of probing the AI about this was unsettling.

Perhaps the code that runs the AI has randomly picked up the tragic case of Chris Sawyer and feels compelled to share it.
