Sentinel - Outbreak - Part II - (How it should play)
6This is just a quick video to show everyone how to avoid the infected and find a vehicle in the beginning of the scenario, and also to prove to some of the people that have been messaging me, that the mission isn't "broken", it uses the same scripts and amount of units as the previous Outbreak missions - the frame rate issues and graphical glitches they've been getting is most likely due to their own in-game settings and/or their hardware struggling to cope.
My machine specs are as follows:
Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake CPU, 4 Cores, 4.0 - 4.2GHz.
16GB DDR4 2133MHz Memory (2 x 8GB Sticks).
Asus Z170 PRO GAMING Motherboard.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Graphics Card.
Windows 10 (64 bit).
Scenario average FPS = 25-35 With most of the graphical settings maxed out.
The specs of our slowest Beta Tester using his PC he bought in 2009 is:
Intel Core I7 920 2.66GHz (nehalem) overclocked to 3.8GHz.
6GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory.
Asus P6T X58 Motherboard.
GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB Graphics Card.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.
Scenario average FPS = 12-21 With most of the graphical settings set to medium or high.
The main bottleneck for him was the GPU (Graphics Card), his brother has an almost identical rig but a 2GB card and has a 10-15 FPS increase over him while playing Arma 3.
Neither of them suffered any significant slowdown or graphical glitches.
Basically, if the scenario doesn't play like the video shown here and your computer meets the requirements of the slowest Beta Tester, you need to adjust your settings.
If your computer doesn't exceed his specs then you seriously need to consider getting an upgrade, or skip playing this scenario until you've got a more capable machine.
I realise that this sounds a little harsh, but if you're using a computer that's older than my neighbours grey muzzled dog and barely runs Arma 3 Apex, then complain that it's having trouble running a scenario built using a contemporary computer, then I don't really have much sympathy for you.
