Sidenotes:
- I was planning to get a rule for only getting female assassins, but 1) the game forces you to get at least 1 male because of tutorial stuff concerning this functionality & 2) there is a "cheat" that can make all your assassins female...this "cheat" becomes available after getting 100% for a certain sequence. (or was that in Revelations?...idk, counts for both)
- I will NOT be getting all collectibles, since that takes way too long for my attention span XD
- I don't know how I got those rewards from the Ubisoft store, but seeing as they seem harmless enough I might use them (not like I'm getting double hp or something like that)
- I will be playing the trilogy in separate playthroughs & there might be some time/other games in between (as to not get tired of the same/similar mechanics for so long)
- I know haven't finished Divinity Original Sin yet...I just haven't had time to get to that because of life stuff & work stuff... & simply because my phone is my cam for the commentary & people keep calling me because of life stuff...which makes commentary videos hard to make at the moment...(also got a new pc so I don't have everything set up yet for commentary videos in OBS). I will get to that as soon as I am able, in the meantime I do have this AC trilogy recorded (because I can take calls/handle disruptions while on the phone & can edit 20 minute parts together without many visual isues for you all as well...that's kinda hard for commentary videos since recordings could be days apart & I do change my clothes like any normal person XD)
Info on the game:
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is a 2010 action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montréal and published by Ubisoft. It is the third major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and the sequel to 2009's Assassin's Creed II.
That said: Just like AC 2, I'll be playing the PS4 version from the "Ezio Collection" which came out quite a bit later.
The game is played from a third-person perspective and set in an open world based on 1500-1507 Italy. Gameplay is nonlinear, and focuses on "hack and slash" combat (though I prefer wait--and-counter), stealth, and exploration.
We technically play as 2 characters, but in the story the second character is "being controlled"(/the first one is looking through the eyes of) the other character...so I'm splitting them up for this description:
The first character is Desmond. This one was a test-subject for a company called Abstergo in the first installment. With Abstergo's machine called the "Animus", Desmond has already lived part of the life of Altaïr, a legendary Assassin (first game) & the earlier part of Ezio's life (second game). Now he once again escaped from Abstergo after they found his hideout (end of previous game). He goes off with Lucy & the others to Italy/Monteriggioni after having trained to at least have some skills of the assassins (again: previous game) in the hopes that they don't get found there. Now they hide & search through Ezio's other memories to find out where the Apple of Eden went after the events of the previous game.
The other character that we play as (and spend most of the time as) is called Ezio, Ezio Auditore da Firenze. We continue his story right where we left off at the end of the previous game...I don't really have much else to say about him that wasn't said in the description of the previous game or that wouldn't be a spoiler for this game.
