Serious Sunday: Quake II Quad Damage Ed. - Some of the best single/multiplayer the 90s had to offer
This week on Serious Sunday, Luke finds the Quake II: Quad Damage Edition With Extremities Mod pack on GOG.com, released during Quakecon 2017, and reminisces about what made Quake 2 one of the greatest single- and multiplayer games that the '90s had to offer, with its introduction of a plot into a previously mostly mindless genre, to the abundance of amazing mods that were available - especially the Action Quake 2 mod that made its multiplayer go from great, to one of the greatest.

Serious Sunday is a freeform, sometimes roundtable discussion between the members of Level 0 NPCs, where a specific topic is pre-selected by the group to be explored and discussed at length. Each of the NPCs approach the topic from both the perspective of a seasoned, die-hard gamer, and as creators of games themselves. Part freeform review, part critical analysis, part video game book club, Serious Sunday is where the NPCs take a step back and take a moment to give a serious look at something that is important to the industry, or games in general.
