SethBling's Slime Drawbridge Explained
In this video I try to explain how the drawbridge works.
It's based on one of the quirks sticky pistons have. The same one instant blocks transportations devices are based on.
When a sticky pistons retracts and the block in front of it is a moving block with the same facing as the piston it will force it to become a normal block again (without waiting the delay it usually would).
Therefor the slime block right in front of the piston can be moved again while all the other slime blocks are still moving blocks. That might sound weird but a block which already is moving can't be moved by a piston.
So the one slime block will get moved again while all the others are still moving in the other direction.
It's somewhat hard to fix without changing existing behavior. But to be honestest: I like it and wouldn't mind if it would stay. It enables you to take single blocks form a movable structure. Something we we tried to find good rules for but didn't manage to ;-)
I hope you didn't mind be pushing this one out before the Ender Dragon XP farm ;-)

This video was recorded with RecordMyDesktop and cut with kdenLive. If there is a third person view in it I just connected with a second instance of Minecraft and recorded from there.
