The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southwestern Florence County in northeastern South Carolina... Northwestern Georgetown County in northeastern South Carolina... Williamsburg County in northeastern South Carolina...

Until 615 PM EDT.

At 521 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Woods Bay State Park to near Manning to 7 miles south of Santee State Park, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect wind damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include... Lake City, Kingstree, Andrews, Hemingway, Rhems, Salters, Trio, Warsaw, Cades, Nesmith, Gourdin, Indiantown, Outland, Earle, Hebron, Morrisville, Henry, Lane, Greeleyville, and Stuckey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
