The Eel Deal (ジャブジャブ ちかどう lit. Slop-slop Underpass in Japanese) is the tenth level and is the last level of the second warp room in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the second game. It is the first sewer level in the game, introducing Crash to a series of new obstacles including spinning fan blades, rolling barrels of toxic waste, mutant rats, scrubbers and electric eels that will shock Crash if he steps into the water at the wrong time.
Sewer or Later (ボワボワ さぎょういん lit. Scorching Worker in Japanese) is the twelfth level and is the second level of the the third warp room in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster of the second game. In this level, taking place later than The Eel Deal, Crash explores Cortex Island's sewer again. This stage introduces triple-bladed fans that spin too fast for Crash to slip through unharmed. The player must take out the blades first by spinning the scrubbers into them.
The bonus rounds that appear in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and later installments are all accessed by a special platform in a level. When Crash utilizes the platform, he will fall, be teleported or transported to a special section of a level that is similar to the level or warp room's theme. In these bonus rounds, Crash can collect additional wumpa fruit, lives, and smashed crate tallies. Crash must collect the crates in the bonus round in order to collect the clear gem at the end of the level.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back is a platform video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It is the second game in the Crash Bandicoot series, and the sequel to the original game.
Taking place on a fictional group of islands near Australia, Crash Bandicoot 2 follows the adventures of the anthropomorphic bandicoot Crash. Crash is abducted by series villain Doctor Neo Cortex, who tricks him into thinking he wants to save the world. Crash is thrust into several parts of N. Sanity Island in order to gather Crystals that will allow Cortex to contain the power of an upcoming planetary alignment and keep the planet from being destroyed. Crash's sister Coco and Cortex's former assistant Doctor Nitrus Brio try to warn him about Cortex, with the latter urging Crash to gather gems instead of crystals.
