Sgraffito Technique - Abstract Art Way! Creative DUO with Big REVEAL / Abstract Art Painting
Welcome to a creation that is part of my Northern Lights and Aurora Borealis Series.
Today is very special as I am collaborating on a creation with my friend and fellow artist Amber Goodwin. Please check out Amber here: / @ambergoodwinart it's always an honor to work with such talented artists.
This series was inspired by seeing the Nothern Lights in person here in the UK. The color palette is based on what I witnessed on that night, and I am exploring various techniques to represent the Northern Lights. I'd love for you to follow along; see which creation you like the best and let me know if you also attempt any of these creations... so... let's see what we can create.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Brush Work and Swipe Scrape
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with paint, water and a pouring medium (Floetrol Owatrol) with a ratio of 1:1:3 - You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use. Floetrol Owatrol is thicker than the US version of Flood Floetrol so you might not need the water element when mixing your paints.
▶ Color Palette: all the Color's I have mixed up across all creations include:
Amsterdam: Metallic Green, Ultramarine Violet, Lamp Black (Base)
Arteza: Sage Green, Raspberry Red, Pearl Magenta.
Pebeo: Iridescent Green Yellow, Iridescent Violet Blue, Chrome Green Hue.
Winsor & Newton: Perm Green Light
Daler Rowney: System3 Acrylic - Leaf Green
When I use a cell activator I use Australian Floetrol and Titanium White 4:1
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.
