In this episode:
Welcome to Shadow Bug, a game with the same name as the main character! As Shadow Bug we have set upon ourselves’ to free our beloved forest from an evil factory that is polluting and cutting down the forest, and spewing evil monsters out!
As the great Ninja we are, we will slice and dice, and use a little tank maybe, through everyone last one of the monsters, until the forest is free from the evil factories grasp!
In Shadow Bug World 1, we will attempt to get through these levels:
- Beginning
- Strange Pipes
- Overhill
- Jump Good
- Pipefest
- Spike Alley
- Open Sesame
- March
Shadow Bug is a fast paced 2D action platformer, with a great focus on speed running. What’s tricky in Shadow Bug is the fact that you can only jump by slicing up enemies!
Graphically, Shadow Bug reminds one of titles such as Limbo and Hollow Knight with a simple, dark and beautiful art style.
Mechanically, Shadow Bug would be best compared to titles such as Super Meat Boy, or Dustforce FX, where you should be prepared to die. A lot :P
