Hey all,

Welcome to Shadow Hearts, the 2001 RPG from Sacnoth published by Midway in North America and Europe. Set in an alternative reality close to our own over 1913 and 1914, Shadow Hearts follows Yuri Hyuga; A Harmonixer capable of absorbing souls of monsters and shapeshifting into them. Yuri is often plagued by voices in his head which command him around with orders which lead him into rather sticky situations. He is told to rescue Alice Elliot, the daughter of an Exorcist who had recently passed away, who is being detained by the Japanese Army and is being trafficked across China.

We start this adventure aboard the train in which Alice is being held, where a rather strange old English Gentleman who calls himself Roger Bacon is hot in pursuit of the exorcist's daughter using a demonic ally to quickly slaughter her Japanese Army Officers entrusted with protecting her. Yuri however makes it just in time to put a little speed bump into Bacon’s plans.

Inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, Shadow Hearts is an Japanese Role Playing Series based on Gothic Horror and considered by many to be an underrated gem of the genre. Enjoy as I Let’s Play this game
