Shadow Kirby (No Damage) in Waddle Knight 2 Demo
363Waddle Knight 2 is a Kirby boss rush fangame by WaddleDev with notable influence from Hollow Knight and Cuphead where you rough up a bunch of bosses from Kirby games. The demo has 30 bosses (with a good number more intended for the full game) so here's beating more or less the final boss of the demo without taking damage.
You also get medals for winning fights. Bronze is awarded for winning, silver is awarded for beating it quickly (faster than 4 minutes is needed for silver on this fight), and gold is awarded for being hit less than X times (12 hits or less is needed for gold on this fight which is super generous when you die in eight hits and you can only heal two points at one time). Some fights award a blue medal on the first win which unlocks abilities but I have all of the upgrades already.
There is a bit of RNG to this fight for avoiding hits as when Kirby spits one side, then the other, then up you can find yourself trapped with nowhere to go especially if this move comes at the edge of the screen and is also compounded by starting another move while that one is finishing up (plus your shade dash might put you inside the boss or hit by a late falling projectile). The giant sword move can also trap you if you're on the sides. The first time the sword move occurs is set when Kirby's health reaches a certain point but it can occur again if the fight really drags on. It's less of an issue for winning the fight or getting gold but doing it hitless can be a bit annoying.
Otherwise this is a rather fun fight. I've done a few of the other fights hitless but not really with the ones that are similar in difficulty to this one and I'm not sure how much time I'll try to continue with this. I do think this should be a fun fangame to check out when it's finished.
