This is what i was working on sunday got 8 way directional shooting down and as a side effect if no direction is held when pressing the fire button it will leave a object where the player is that if something does collide with it, then it will take whatever is compatible out. still got a little way to go to make a custom projectile sprite and maybe pick another sound for shooting.

I had "Shadow In Sonic Mania" by The Vagabound enabled while testing.
