Here's another old video I found of the demo that lets you fight the first three colossi. In this video the player fights the 2nd colossus (Quadratus). You will notice some differences here to the final version, the hand icon is larger, the shoulder ledges are missing on the colossus and the music that plays is different. 'A Shadow Coming Closer' plays when you are on the beach and 'Violent Encounter' when you climb it.

You can see the inexperience of the player as well as he/she takes forever to bring it down. But I uploaded this to show that there are other versions out there that are playable, just not released to the public it seems... at least I have never seen this version.
