Shadowgate NES Review

The port of MacVenture's Shadowgate for the NES was my first exposure to point n' click adventures. It took a bit of time to learn how to navigate the game, but once I figured it out, I was hooked. I had never played any text-based adventures at that time, and was completely unused to having to read my game.

Shadowgate for the NES is a great adventure, as is Deja Vu and The Uninvited. I recommend this for adventure fans and anybody trying to grow their NES collection. It doesn't cost much. Even the complete-in-box version goes for around $30.
