My personal thoughts from the WoW Shadowlands developer update on 8 July. I am concerned that there are too many new gameplay systems being introduced. The Covenant + Soulbinds gameplay loop will cause Shadowlands to be very alt unfriendly. Sub-optimal selection of covenants and lack of catchup mechanics might end up frustrating players.

However, I do believe Torghast has huge potential to be a big part of the end-game though. Hopefully, it has what it takes to carry the entire expansion.
