I suppose a more accurate title could had been post-dragonfall / dragonfall director's cut or post-2016 even but I decided on 2017 to make people maximum confused. As one of the og-Backers of Shadowrun Returns back in 2012, I was privy like so many others to the og release. I love the scenario Dead Man's Switch and never became a fan of Dragonfall so far. I'm always taken out of the experience when I play it because the mood is so different and the option to smash the cyberdeck.. Infuriates me.
Anyway off-course.. With the og release you had a different title screen. When they decided to make the scenario Dragonfall, they made a new title screen show the new characters. Eventually they made it standalone and titled it Dragonfall Director's Cut.. Totally unnecessary honestly, and they forever messed up SRR versions title screen. Unless... You find the older version which I had to do and keep it as a separate install. Hence why I named this video, Post-2017.
Dead Man's Switch is in my opinion the pinnacle of what Cyberpunk is about. A mystery to solve and action. Your down on your luck, every one you know are either dead or missing. Suddenly your friend calls you - except he's dead. He just died which activated his Dead Man's Switch. He asks you to solve who killed him and why as the one he always trusted. But the reward of 100 000 nuyen certainly helps to motivate you...
DMS has been remade in the SRR: Hong Kong client under the name of Vox Puipili or something like that, and it is expanded and pretty great. Someday I plan to play through both the 2013 original, and Vox, for my yt channel, having played them both through privately.
It should go without saying but I really recommend this. Nowadays you can find and download all the backer codes of steam. I found most to be kinda, meh. People's characters with unique skins and the likes but if you are familiar with unity extraction, you can just extract them and look in blender too. Some codes are useful though or interesting.. But look at me, rambling again.

It was really rather annoying on my thumbs!
