Key Notes:
- In every dungeon, there is always three Heart Squids to find, and they all can be immediately obtained without having to come back again.
Risky Boots
- If you ever played the previous games, she fights like a watered down version of her big boss fights.
- As a rule of thumb, make sure to pull back after whipping her good, since no boss in this game flinches to attacks.
Dash Newt
- The Dash Newt is basically the Monkey Dance transformation, except Shantae doesn't need to stay transformed on the ground. Just dash into a wall to latch and climb it, or you can dash to get through rooms faster (a speedrunner's wish).
- Note the fact cards like the Spider Monster Card increase climbing speed for the Dash Newt.
Heart Squid #2
- In the long standing rectangular room next to Flink's cell room, simply go all the way up using the Dash Newt.
Heart Squid #3
- It's on the way west of the previous room with the first Heart Squid of the dungeon.
Heart Squid #4
- In the big square formation of rooms before reaching the boss area, reach the center of the rooms by falling from the northwest corner and latch to the wall to the right to enter the room with the squid.
