Also known as Captain Marvel until 2011, when DC Comics named it officially "Shazam".

Created by screenwriter Otto Binder and draftsman CC Beck in 1945, Teth-Adam, son of Pharaoh Ramses II, was one of the first holders of the powers of Mage Shazam still in the time of Ancient Egypt, powers with which he should fight against evil and preserve peace, assuming the identity of Black Adam.
Teth let himself be seduced by power, being punished and exiled by Mage Shazam in another dimension. Only in the 20th century AD, when Mage Shazam himself saw the chaos that had settled in the world, deciding to offer his powers to young Billy Batson, as he had with Teth a millennia earlier. Teth, the defender of peace and justice, managed to free himself, turning definitively against the Wizard Shazam and his recent \”pupil\”, the hero today called Shazam, becoming, by far, the main enemy of the character.
