She was Forced to Fail in this Cursed Art Gallery | Ib Explained (Summary & Analysis)
What can I say about Ib that hasn't already been said before? A cursed, mysterious gallery, an even more mysterious artist by the name of Weiss Guertena, and well-written characters like Ib, Gary, and Mary. It's a cult class for a reason. I could spend hours roaming the cursed gallery and interpreting each piece of artwork, but tonight, I focused on the ones that really made me think about Guertena's life and how he and Mary might not be so different after all. The scariest part of Ib, to me, is the psychological horror of being alone, being driven mad, and not being able to live as you please.
Ib was originally a 2012 adventure horror game developed and published by Kouri as freeware on their personal website. Playing a nine-year-old Ib in a top-down perspective, explore an eldritch art museum, where Ib meets the characters Gary and Mary, who are also trapped within. Together, they attempt to escape the museum and return to the real world, but make the wrong choices, and the consequences could be deadly.
I played the 2022 remake, which features updated artwork, new puzzles, a conversation system, and a zoom feature for viewing the artwork more closely.

**All theories and analyses are made in good fun: to imagine, explore, and research interesting ideas. I always love hearing everyone else's thoughts and theories and will never claim that mine are the only valid or absolute. Since I aim to make a peaceful, cozy place to relax and talk about horror content, I ask that everyone keep their opinions and disagreements respectful so that everyone's voices can be heard. Thank you! **
