About the Game:
A remake of the 2007 game of the same name, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is an adventure video game developed and published in 2023 by Frogwares, and is a direct sequel to Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One.
Set in the year 1882, two years after the events of the first game, Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson have settled in as flatmates in London's 221B Baker Street. Still in his infancy as an established detective, Holmes works to solve cases presented to him by the locals, if only to stave off boredom. Hoping to cure him of this particular ailment, Dr Watson presents Holmes with what appears to be a simple missing person case. However, Holmes soon realizes that there is much more to this case than even he could've imagined as things take a turn for the weird, with the case devolving into a dark plot involving mind altering drugs and cult practices which hurls the duo down a rabbit hole; racing against time and across continents to save as many people as they can while also struggling to maintain their own sanity.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened was released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on April 11, 2023, and received generally positive reviews upon release, given that Frogwares faced delays due to the ongoing Russian/Ukrainian War.
