Shield Master is not a good feat in Baldur's Gate 3. Compared to D&D 5e every character already has one part of this feat, and the remaining bonuses that come from Shield Master are somewhat lacking.

I would rather just increase my dexterity up to the next even score and get all the bonuses that grants rather than the few bonuses from Shield Master.

Have you ever had luck in using this feat? I have to admit I haven't ever taken shield master on a character before!
