About Shops:
Items have a set "value" which is stored in the same place as the rest of their stats. Shops, (More specifically, the NPCs running them) have buy / sell /repair multipliers that are applied to the item's base price. Shop stock can be infinite or limited quantity. There's also a cheat called "Buy All Items" which sets all shop inventories to the "Debug Shop" which allows you to purchase every item in the game. Including cheaty developer items for maximum entertainment. Also beer.

About Costumes:
Yes. You can have them change your overworld sprite, portrait, battle sprite, and voice. You can require an item to be equipped, or simply in the character's inventory. You can also check for other stats / conditions as well such as the blue death flame sprites. There's also an override option for forcing a certain appearance (such as being turned into a chicken in SF1).

About Stat Boosters.
No. Brave apples will not boost you past max level. Also, I believe SF2 also grants the character 1 xp for using the item after the initial level up message. If it's really that important to you guys for authenticity sake, let me know and I'll add the 1 line of code required for it. The Forbidden Box boosts everyone to max level. Max level is a variable which is set in the global game settings script, so if you make it higher or lower, the FB will automatically figure out the math for you.

P.S.
Yes. You can promote your characters, require items / other criteria for certain classes, and have multiple promotion tiers.

Other Statistics
