The vines, mist, and lush color drain out, and suddenly youâre face-to-face with a humming, coral-crusted EggTech drill, still buzzing like it's alive. And itâs no mistake the track just stops. That buzz saw sound? Itâs not just ambiance. Itâs your gut telling you somethingâs wrong.

This track originally ran 90+ seconds but was trimmed for pacing.
The buzz saw audio is actually a broken Dreamcast disc drive, layered with turbine sounds and reversed FX.
Shiny Shell Showdown was once part of a full mechanical âmini-zone,â but the idea was scrapped late in dev and the track salvaged for tone-setting.
Knuckles' next level, Sunken Gearjaw, kicks off seconds after this, and itâs all about underground tension, rusted tech, and heavy platforming.
