A leader in shipping logistics services, IMC gives its customers the advantage of local market knowledge with coast to coast coverage. IMC’s supply chain expertise efficiently moves over one million shipping containers a year; so securing its endpoints supply chain data and system, as well as customer information, is critical, as an outage could cost millions of dollars. To ensure proper endpoint protection, IMC needed to protect its endpoints from ransomware, viruses, and other potential threats. By implementing Check Point’s SandBlast Agent, a single console solution that proactively prevents, detects, and defends against threats. With SandBlast Agent, IMC can centrally and successfully secure its endpoints from attacks, simplifying management and maximizing system uptime.

Transcript:

IMC Companies is the parent company of eight Marine motor carriers. We are one of the five largest privately owned intermodal companies in the States.

We have, today, over two thousand drivers, and we are in over forty five cities across the States.

To give an idea, last year we moved over one million containers

Security is very important for IMC because our customers rely on our information and the process we follow. We have a transportation management system that gives us the competitive advantage. A downtime can cost us millions of dollars.

Our main concern was ransomware. We looked at over ten or twelve vendors in the space, and we very soon narrowed down to Check Point because Check Point gave us what we needed in a single box.

The biggest advantage we have had when we started using Check Point EndPoint Solution was that we didn’t need to worry about ransomware attacks on our environment. We knew that if something were to happen, that the anti-ransomware will kick in, will backup whatever files would have been touched, stop the attack, and allow us to recover if we wanted to do that.

That’s a piece of mind that you can’t put a price tag on.

We receive about two million emails a month, give or take. Statistics tells us at least 55% of those are malignant. 100% of that has been stopped by the SandBlast Agent.
