Shogun Season 1 Episode 9 “Crimson Sky” Review *SPOILERS*
I think we were all a bit staggered by the events of this episode, but I also think that just speaks to the remarkable work the show has done to get us here – narratively, with the characters involved, and with the actors. There’s been a lot of chatter (that I find to be completely insane) regarding the first half of the season being better than the second, and I think that’s due to a lack of big action scenes. However, I’m of the opinion that this show has truly flourished in the second half due to the painstaking care it’s given to accurately conveying the culture, the three-dimensionality of these characters, and these wonderful acting performances. I can’t wait for the finale. Check out my thoughts, leave your own, and remember to rate/comment/subscribe/share and ENJOY!
