Shogun Showdown is a samurai turn-based tactical 2D game, or let's say 1D since you move either left or right, but don't be fooled by the simplicity of this level design, as the gameplay system is quite complex and will test your wits, although there is no timer during turns.

You start with 2 basic weapons, dual-daggers and a bow, others can be acquired by defeating the waves of enemies, it is also possible to upgrade weapons so that they inflict more damage, increase their level, shorten the cooldown or enhance attacks with extra damage type like poison, fire etc...

During your turn you can move or equip a weapon, every action except using consumables will allow the enemy to play a turn, so choose wisely what to do and take into account that you can be attacked from behind or by ranged weapons, and always stay a tile away from enemy's attack range.

✔️ To score a combo, you must eliminate 2 or more enemies in a single series of attacks.
